WSASEA is now accepting nominations!

April is Student Employment Month in Washington State. What better way to start the celebration than by nominating a student employee from your institution for the Washington State Student Employee of the Year Award?

Nomination Check List:

Review the Student Employee of the Year announcement and nomination form

Notify your on-campus and off-campus employers about the opportunity to nominate their outstanding students for the award.

Set a nomination deadline such that your selection committee has time to meet the WSASEA deadline of March 28, 2008.

Select your campus winner who will become your WSASEA finalist. A rating tool is available to help organize your review process.

Have the your campus winner finalist write a narrative (200 word maximum) addressing the following question:
“How has your student employment position benefited you professionally, educationally or personally?”

Report your institution’s finalist to WSASEA using the Institutional Report Form. Include the nominator narrative and student nominee narrative.
Deadline: March 28, 2008

WSASEA will select a State winner to be announced at the WSASEA Spring Conference on April 28-30, 2008 at Rainbow Lodge, in North Bend, WA.

The student selected as Student Employee of the Year will receive an attractive certificate, a letter from the WSASEA Executive Board to add to his or her resume, and a $100 U.S. Savings Bond!
