I. Spring Conference May 17-19, 2004– Rainbow Lodge North Bend, WA
a. Lisa Watkins from Saint Martin’s College is the confirmed moderator for Wednesday morning breakout session re. private/religious institutions
i. 8:30-9:30 a.m.
b. Brian Beghoff from the Washington Department of Retirement Systems is the confirmed moderator for Wednesday morning breakout session re. PERS
i. 8:30-9:30 a.m.
c. Betsy Shields from Everett Community College is the confirmed presenter for Tuesday afternoon session re. Buzz Marketing
i. 2:30-4:00 p.m.
d. Bob Yohnka from Seattle Pacific University is the confirmed presenter for Tuesday morning re. Work-Study Jeopardy
i. 8:30-9:30 a.m.
ii. Received information from Vanderbilt University
e. Spring Conference Fees & WSASEA Membership Fees
i. $165.00 2003-04 Spring Conference Fee
ii. $40.00 additional fee for non members to sign up for 2004-05 WSASEA Membership
iii. $35.00 2004-05 WSASEA Membership Fee for current members that renew prior to Spring Conference or in conjunction with conference registration fees

ii. Gayle recommended that we have a drawing for a prize for those that complete a form

h. WSASEA Board Nominations
i. Include on Spring Conference Registration Form a box, “Yes, I am interested in running for a WSASEA office.”
ii. Gayle suggested to write in names in pre-printed election ballots at conference
iii. Jim will bring a printer to conference for printing ballots
iv. Referenced 2003-04 Town Meeting minutes regarding WSASEA nominations
v. Gayle will have pictures posted at conference for nominees; cut & paste from group photo at 2003-04 Town Meeting
vi. Eryn will do packets & sandwich board presentation with job descriptions for each Board positions with fun graphics
i. 25th Anniversary Decorations
i. Eryn will pick up at party supply store
ii. Lisa making Hershey kiss favors
iii. Betsy will buy balloons & blow up
j. Presentation Equipment
i. Eryn will check with Rainbow Lodge re. an overhead projection
ii. Jim will bring projector
iii. Gayle will bring calling card for Internet dial-up
k. Student Employee of the Year
i. Jim will have nomination forms online rather than mail packets
ii. Nomination will include a narrative, rating tool & an institutional report from
iii. Jim would like immediate feedback from Board members
iv. Gayle has the 2004 Washington State Proclamation for SEOY & Gene will post online
v. April 16, 2004 deadline to submit SEOY applications
vi. April 30, 2004 deadline for Board members to select SEOY winner to have information at Spring Conference
